So do you feel it?

Do ya?

It's the 3rd of December 2009.

Do you feel your skin getting crinkly-ER?

Your eyebags getting bigger?

DUM DUM DUM DUMMMMMM...

My birthday!

Finally, I'm 16. :D

Aaaand...

It's a few more weeks to 2010.

Haha.

Hopefully you guys can't relate to any of the stuff I mentioned in the 4th and 5th lines!

Cuz 2009 was great and so will 2010!, be great... (Omg, what kind of English)

@.@

Check this out

01/01/10

That's the first day of next year!

I can't believe we get to celebrate the Sultan's birthday again!
Can you believe it???

Wouldn't it be weird to write the year as --/--/10
in your exercise books next year???

We are gonna have to get used to it again.

Wait, didn't I just get used to writing 09 in the top right corner of the exercise book pages???

Okay, enough drama.

Let's get down to business.

I watched New Moon recently.

With Danial Zian and Ian.

Okay, funny story.

You see, Ian isn't a Twilight kind of gay guy.

I was like, 'Hey, Ian, wanna go watch New Moon???'

And he gave me the face.

And said, 'Dude, that's gay.'
(OR something along those lines, you get it right?)

OK.

Then I said, 'NO, man. It's the expression of love that counts!'

...

Okay, now that I type it out, it DOES sound slightly gay-ish.

-.-

But then, to convince him to watch New Moon, I lent him the Twilight movie.

(It's not pirated, Officer!)

He said it was boring.

But, alas, he still went to watch New Moon.

THEN, Danial, Ian and I went to Summit.

And we had McDonald's.

Okay, I left my bicycle keys on the table when I went to order my food.

And when I came back, it was missing!

I knew who it was but he wouldn't crack!

DANIAL.

or IAN.

Must be one of them lah, who else???

WHO ELSE???

'Holy shit, guys, is this a prank or did my keys really get stolen?!?!?'

...

(Giggle giggle --- Danial and Ian)

...

'DAMMIT! COME ON!'

...

(Blur face--- Danial and Ian)

T.T

Yeah, I panicked a little.

But I was pretty sure one of 'em had it.

Sooooo....

New Moon review time!

Oooooo...

Rating : 7/10

Review : Okay, I have to give this show 2 thumbs up for replicating the plot in the book almost exactly.

That's a real high point for the movie, since I love that they are able to take the book and put it in video. :)

Job well done.

If you're looking for excessive action scenes, this isn't the movie for you.

Not much fighting although there were a few rumbles here and there.

If you're looking for arousal, then yeah, watch it.

Although, I mean, I-i-i-i wasn't aroused!
I hate men with abs!
Heh, Heh. Hehh.

'It's not awesome but better than Twilight.' (recently quoted by Brenda Ong) :D (I didn't say anything I shouldn't!)

Okay, that's it for now!

Goodnight :)

In case you're wondering, my keys were with Ian AND Danial. Long story :/

Action

Monday, November 30, 2009 0 comments

I just learned a new term for the guitar.

ACTION

If you find your guitar is hard to fret and barre, then the action on your guitar is probably too high.

(like mine)

Action refers to the distance of the strings above the fingerboard.

A guitar's action is too high for you if you find it excessively difficult to play clean notes when barre'-ing.

However, a guitar with high action can be played louder and more violently because the string which is vibrating is high above the fingerboard.

Thus, the string can vibrate alot without touching the fret and making a buzzing sound.

A guitar with low action is easier to fret and barre' but will make a buzzing sound when played aggressively.

So choose a guitar with a good balance of both.

But remember, comfort always comes first.

If you're not comfortable playing your guitar, you probably won't like it very much.

Okay,

So TOMORROW (Tuesday, 1 December) is report card day.

You may or may not be required to bring your parents depending on your results. That depends entirely on you.

HAHAHA.

Get it?

No?

Never mind.

But seriously, go collect your report cards tomorrow.

:)

I'll be in school helping out, so visit me, ok? :D

Just a short post.

Okay, have a great evening :)

(Why is everyone in Australia?)

Drifting

Thursday, November 19, 2009 0 comments

My blog title is inspired by Andy McKee.

His song title is 'Drifting'.

And he has done a cover of it on YouTube.

I personally feel that this song is a really beautiful masterpiece.

So click here to be INSPIRED!

the man himself
Andy McKee

Listening to that song just makes me feel like quitting guitar. xD

Cuz' I totally suck compared to that.

And on that same note, I might be getting an Admira guitar.

CLASSICAL please. :)

Ain't that a beauty???

Oh well, it's probably gonna cost 1.5K+ for a good classical that'll last.

BUT, it's a good investment.

Anyway, here's something I would like to blog about.

I'm pretty sure you guys have seen many of THESE types of guitars before.

These are called Stratocaster electric guitars.

This one is a Fender make.

Most people use these types of guitars because of one or more of the following reasons:

1) They're AWESOME looking!
2) *bangs head on wall*
3) Rock on!!!
4) Who the hell uses a tele?

Well, traditionally, most people go for the stratocaster over it's cousin, the Telecaster.

Here's a picture of a Fender Tele.

Tele.

Notice the aesthetic differences?

NO?

Look closely and you will see. :D

Telecasters have a more springy, stringy tune.

I personally feel that the telecaster looks like it was sent from the heavens. x)

But many would disagree with me.

Especially since the some Tele designs are not as pleasing to the eye.

Another Fender telecaster.

I personally prefer the previous Tele over this design.

So, after my classical, I am aiming for a Tele.

:D

Alright, now it's time to move on to a little section I'd like to call,

Choong Hou's review of outdated movies.

*DRUM ROLL!!!*

Well, I've only seen a few movies recently.

Here is one.

6/10

An overall entertaining movie. :D

If you're feeling brain-dead.

Haha. Kidding. But seriously, it's funny. Watch it.

Next.

8/10

I LOVE THIS SHOW!

(yeah the trailer wasn't convincing, but the movie was one helluva movie.)

the chinese kid is funny.

and the old man is funny.

Great storyline.

Great animation.

Great movie. :)

I rated it 7 cuz the movie made me piss my pants.

Yeah, and you'll never guess that freak girl's secret.

It's a pretty darn good movie if you're looking for a scare.

But I'm probably just a wuss and the movie's not scary at all.

So, until next time, readers!

I WANT CLASSICAL GUITAR!

:)

A bloody traumatic experience. Quite literally.

Did I mention that dissecting frogs is fun?

GIGANTIC frogs that aren't dead.

They're knocked out with chloroform.

And the scariest part is...
they could get up and hop about while being dissected!

WTF.

Luckily for my friends and I, that didn't happen.

*phew*

I heard a story that last time, a bunch of students were dissecting a frog, and it started jumping about, and its guts were falling all over the place.

AWESOME!

(I wonder who cleaned that up)

So, I did most of the cutting.

While Sek and Leong held the poor thing in place.

With forceps and plastic gloves of course.

So...
the worst part was the starting,
during the 'EEEEW!' and the 'HOLY *UTCKS!' and the 'OH MY GOD, EEEW!' phases.

Yeah, I'm squeamish.

I was one of the people going through those phases.

BUT.

I was a brave boy after that! HAHAHAHAHA.

Cutting the frog like I was cutting chicken for a very particular and picky king.

You know the initial part when you have to cut open the belly skin?

Then, cut open the SECOND belly skin?

And then look at liver and intestines?

So totally AWTHSUM!

After removing the poor thing's innards,
we then proceeded to mutilate its eyeballs!

YAY for science!

I (obviously) brought the eye back to class to scare chicks.

BUT, they were like, 'EEEW! Eh, damn cool!'

WTF,

Epic failure.

Oh well.

See what you ponteng-ers missed!

You missed frog-cutting day!

Okay.
Erm.

Class parteh! It was awesome!

Here's one measly photo. (down there. not up =.=)

Pssssssttt....
Nazneen has a nice house.

=D

And Danial makes good banana cake.

:)

And I am zee bezz chicken-grill-cook ever!

Just ask my satisfied customers. xD

Okay. And then...

Interact installation!

It was held in a classroom.

Trust me, whoever suggested the classroom is a genius.

I'm not exaggerating.

It felt more...
PERSONAL.

Know what I mean?

Everything was cozier.
(Yes, it was raining too)

So... that's about it.

OKAY! BYE BYE!

oh yeah, forgot.

Goodnight.

:)

A little too late to post this, but...

EXAMS ARE OVER!

yay.

So I wonder what everyone's going to be up to.

Going out with friends...
Watching TV...
SLEEPING...
DoTa... for the minority :)
Facebook-ing...
Blogging...
Camps...
like Prefects' Camp for instance.

Ooooo
I forgot.
HOLIDAY-ing.

Aren't there so many things to do during the holidays? (I consider *after exams* the start of the holiday =) )
note the exaggeration.

School is so full of life now.

Everyone is class-jumping.

Well, at least the ones who are not studying for Form 5 =.=

BTW,
I don't know if this message will get through to you, but...

Friendships are really special.
And if you've known someone for a long time, plus you guys are tight,
don't blow it just because of a small misunderstanding or unhappiness.

You two have been close since I've KNOWN you guys.

So, if you think you know who you are,
try to mend things up with her alright?

It sucks to see you two like this.

So.... FIX IT.

Alright.
It's late (sorta...).
Better be going off to bed, school tomorrow, not to mention the English oral test is on for those who have not completed it yet.

(My topic's a surprise)
:)

Goodnight, readers.

Sweet dreams.

(Don't think about the dust mites crawling up your ears when you sleep)

'Til next time.

Celine Dion - Because You Loved Me

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through
Through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You give me faith cuz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

Wednesday, October 21, 2009 0 comments

hello :)
just as a notice,

I WILL BE BLOGGING AGAIN AFTER FINALS
:)
GOOD LUCK TO ALL FORM 4s
HAPPY STUDYING

Where have all the good days gone?

Monday, October 12, 2009 0 comments

Remember when we were little kids? (Maybe we still are. Haha)

We used to wish that we could grow up faster.

At least I know I did.

I wished that I could be like that 18 year old dude who was walking with his friends to wherever they wanna go.

I wished for that AWESOME freedom and of course,

being older than many other kids :)

But now, it's already 2009.

It's gonna be 2010 in a couple of month's time.

Man.

And I'm gonna be 17 next year.

And when I think back,

I wish that I was a small kid again.

All the carefree-ness.

All the fun scooping up tadpoles in the school drain (Yuck. Right?)

It really was fun.

Now??

STRESS.
EXAMS.
COLLEGE. (very soon)
SCHOLARSHIPS.

Aww, it all sucks.

I guess there are a couple of upsides to being pretty much grown up now.

And inevitably growing into a young adult.

But the time when I was a kid,

that is something I will never forget.

So, if there are any young readers out there reading this,

my advice is,

don't grow up too fast :)

Just some notifications :)

hello again  :D

First and foremost, I would like to thank all the people who have been giving me their support for my YouTube video.

(Lol. It's not even a video.)

Thank you, thank you and thank you.

I'll try to do more covers after the exam.

I'm now friggin' stressed with studying.

So here are some songs that I think are really awesome.
I'll put the links here so you guys can check them out on YouTube.

Well, that's all I've got so far.
Haha.

If any of you guys want me to play any song, feel free to suggest some.
I'm out of ideas. xD

Thanks again.

*man, I had a good lunch

Happy Mooncake Festival!

Saturday, October 3, 2009 0 comments

Hello people of Malaysia! (and any other readers that may pop by)

Today is Mooncake Festival!

well, I'm not really celebrating it.

exams are looming and I'm not in a festive mood.

anyway, last night, I was studying Add Maths until about 1.30am.
so I thought, ah, I don't need so much sleep.

Soooo, I called Justin to ask what time prefect's duty was in the morning.

and the next morning, I went to school to help arrange tables and chairs for the teachers' meeting.

:D

I think they are having the meeting to discuss the new instructions from Kementerian.

Btw, for SPM,

there are no more A1s and A2s .

they are now A+, A and A-

So, in case you were saying 'So what?',
that means you have to score higher to get your A+ now.

for more info, read today's Star newspaper

oh ya, forgot to mention.

I think it was a few days ago.

We had an arm wrestling session in class.

Hahaha.

Okay, so I managed to beat Rushan and Diane!
Oh ya!
 (haha sorry!)

But...
but..
errrr.

I lost to...

PREVIN

omg.

never mind that, you watch out, I'm gonna beat you next week, bub.

So, in conjunction with the Mooncake festival,
Looi Yen-Ling has popped by USJ2.

Guess what for??

GUESS

to buy duck! (and some chicken and siew yoke)

How could you kill this??!! T.T

Chicken

Siew Yoke

yes, there's a guy who sells poultry and meat in a van in USJ 2
it's actually quite awesome, try it out sometime.

I highly recommend the sesame chicken and Roast duck.

:P

and finally, for all you people looking forward to the All-American Rejects concert,
it has been sadly postponed.

I heard the lead singer got into an accident or something.

anyway, visit this link if you wanna send your 'get well soon' wishes to the dude.

courtesy of DiGi, I heard they are gonna send a gigantic card to him with all the dedications on it!
(wow, baiknya DiGi)

so long.

Monday, September 21, 2009 0 comments

hey humans!
so..

my parents and I celebrated my mummy's 50th birthday.
(yes, 50!)

we went to a japanese buffet restaurant called Sagano
it was in Renaissance Hotel somewhere. xD

alright.

so since we had some free time.
(and my dad felt like driving)

we went to Port Dickson for a day trip as well.

(this was after my mum's bday. It was on a different day)

we brought along my cousin since he's home alone  :)

we went to the beach. ate some decent food. and then some. xD

here are some pics.

OH YA.
i went kayaking too.

'tis me at the beach. holding my sandals and phone.  ;P

'tis an Indian man digging a hole on the beach with a cup :D
ah, the simple pleasures of life

'tis my cousin and i looking stupid (so nice right? right??? :D the beach , i mean)

'tis the guy who owns the kayaks, putting a lifejacket on me. 'tis is also us getting suited up!

'tis is funny. no seriously, we kayaked REALLY far out! and i thought the water was very deep. but then, look at the dude standing in the water T.T  so potong stim

'tis is EVEN further out. And there is still a lady standing in the water at the far left T.T (or maybe they were swimming. hmmm)

tis' my dad making use of his photography skills. Very nice =)

'tis a picture of my cousin and I holding a coconut.
and guess where we found it?

floating far out in the ocean!
and we kayaked to it. ;D

but unfortunately, the coconut was overripe -.-

'tis my face after a shower. I think if you look a bit back, u'll see the shower area :)

so that's the end of the pictures.

I was actually supposed to see Yen-Ling on the beach somewhere.
'cuz we went on the same day to port dickson.
the only difference is that she stayed a night in Tiara while i only was there for a day.

BUT

we didnt meet.
so disappointing

oh well! next time k?

:P

okay going to go shower now. just played with balls.

bye!

1 Malaysia

Tuesday, September 15, 2009 0 comments

hehe.
1 Malaysia.

I found the PERFECT symbol to represent Malaysia's racial unity.

ok here it is.

Red Bean moon cake with single yolk.   xD

The skin is brown representing Malays.
The filling is dark-ish representing Indians.
And the yolk is Orangy-yellowy representing Chinese.

Wahhaa!

so smart.

okay anyway.
we need to start understanding the importance of racial togetherness-ness.

otherwise we is all gonna BOOM!

yes, I am very stressed.
I didn't get my dose of the outdoors today.
No futsal.   :(

so!
what else ah?
erm erm erm.

OH YESH,
my mummy's birthday is on the 19th of this month.
so you better wish 'er happy birthday in the cBox!
write in ur name
i will show my mum and let her know what good boys and girls you guys are!

:P

and 19th is the also the date when my cousin is leaving for UK.
she's gonna study in Warwick University

so I wish her best of luck there!

=)

and
(Dipan is probably playing futsal right now and laughing. *grumble brumble*)
ah, I think that's about it

nothing much to say except FINALS ARE COMING!

dum dum DUM!

DIE!

okay :D

no stress
no pressure

bye!

Titster, May Ee

helloo.
i know we've been drifting apart.
but i hope u won't feel sad or anything.
i still really really love you.
ur my number 1 girl.

anyway, who do i sms more than you?
maybe i may not share many things with you anymore.
but trust me, i'm not sharing anything with anyone else either.

it's not that i don't want to.
life has just been really boring lately.

there is nothing much to share.

but regardless, it's true that we are not as tight as we were.
but i want you to know that it doesn't mean i don't care about you anymore.

so, to keep this short and sweet,
i hope we will be able to get back on track again.
i miss the good ol' days too.

with love,
Choong Hou (BRAther)
