Action

I just learned a new term for the guitar.

ACTION

If you find your guitar is hard to fret and barre, then the action on your guitar is probably too high.

(like mine)

Action refers to the distance of the strings above the fingerboard.

A guitar's action is too high for you if you find it excessively difficult to play clean notes when barre'-ing.

However, a guitar with high action can be played louder and more violently because the string which is vibrating is high above the fingerboard.

Thus, the string can vibrate alot without touching the fret and making a buzzing sound.

A guitar with low action is easier to fret and barre' but will make a buzzing sound when played aggressively.

So choose a guitar with a good balance of both.

But remember, comfort always comes first.

If you're not comfortable playing your guitar, you probably won't like it very much.

Okay,

So TOMORROW (Tuesday, 1 December) is report card day.

You may or may not be required to bring your parents depending on your results. That depends entirely on you.

HAHAHA.

Get it?

No?

Never mind.

But seriously, go collect your report cards tomorrow.

:)

I'll be in school helping out, so visit me, ok? :D

Just a short post.

Okay, have a great evening :)

(Why is everyone in Australia?)
